Shipping days and times
Carol’s Cookies ships cookies and gifts weekly from our bakery in Northbrook, Illinois, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. As the cookies have no preservatives, all orders are shipped to arrive within two days to maintain freshness. If your order is received before 1:00 pm Central Time (CT) on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, we will ship your order on that day or you’ll be notified of any delays. If your order is placed after 1:00 pm (CT), we will ship on the next available shipping day. For example, if you place your order at 3:00 pm (CT) on Wednesday, your order will ship Monday of the following week.
Delivery times for business addresses & residences
FedEx® is our preferred shipping vendor. They typically deliver on business days to non-residential locations between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, and they deliver to residences between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm six days a week. FedEx may require a signature for delivery which is at the discretion of the driver. A Residential Area Surcharge is charged by FedEx® when shipping to an address that they deem to be residential. This charge will be added to your shipping total if the address is in a residential zone.
When will my order arrive?
All orders are shipped to arrive within two days of the requested ship date. During the ordering process, you can request a future ship date, or the calendar will automatically default to choosing the next available ship date. In order to ensure the freshest possible product, we do not ship products after Wednesdays so we can avoid our cookies sitting over the weekend.
FedEx® will only accept physical street addresses. Therefore, Carol’s Cookies cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, APO or FPO addresses. We do not ship outside of the fifty United States. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii will take an extra day to arrive, so we recommend you choose Mondays or Tuesdays to ship packages to these States. Shipping methods (Ground vs Express) are determined by the distance from our bakery in Northbrook, IL so packages arrive within two days of the requested ship date you choose.
Please make sure you check your order for accuracy before submitting it. Carol’s Cookies has the right to pass on a $19.00 Address Correction fee assessed by FedEx for any address corrections made after the shipment is released. During the ordering process, you will be asked to verify the shipping address(es) for your gift(s) through a third party Address Verification System. Carol’s Cookies will not be responsible for packages refused by the recipient, or for incorrect or incomplete shipping addresses. Please include apartment/suite numbers, East/West street assignments, etc. where applicable. Commercial addresses will require a company name and/or suite number to avoid any correction fees.
Please note that FedEx may be experiencing delays throughout their network due to COVID-19 related instances. They are currently not guaranteeing on-time deliveries to areas most affected by the pandemic. Refer to their website for additional details. Delivery delays can also occur due to weather, businesses being closed, incorrect addresses, etc. These delays may affect ship dates and/or arrival dates. Carol’s Cookies will do our best to ship in a timely manner, but we cannot be held responsible for late deliveries due to these delays or address issues. If your package is damaged upon arrival, please contact Carol’s Cookies within 48 hours of your shipment being delivered by emailing email@example.com or by calling one of our gift specialists at 847.831.4500.
You can choose “Pickup” as an option when placing your order. Pickups at our bakery in Northbrook, IL can be requested for Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 8:00 am (CT) and 2:00 pm (CT). Please call the bakery for further information, to place your order or for directions.
