We ship to all 50 states from our bakery in Northbrook, Illinois. We do not currently ship internationally, and we cannot ship to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses because our carrier requires a physical street address. Orders to Alaska and Hawaii take an additional day in transit, so we recommend choosing a Monday or Tuesday ship date for those orders.
Carol’s Cookies ships from our bakery in Northbrook, Illinois on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. As the cookies have no preservatives, all orders are shipped to arrive within two days to maintain freshness.
If your order is received before 1:00 pm Central Time (CT) on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, we’ll ship your order that day or notify you of any delays. If your order is placed after 1:00 pm CT, we’ll ship on the next available shipping day. For example, an order placed at 3:00 pm CT on Wednesday will ship the following Monday.
Shipping starts at $15 for commercial addresses and $18.80 per gift box for flat-rate residential shipping. Final cost is calculated at checkout based on the delivery address and ship date.
Our cookies are baked without preservatives, so we ship them to arrive within two days. Weather can affect both transit and the cookies themselves, and a little planning goes a long way.
Warm weather. Cookies ship without ice packs. If your package arrives warm, the cookies are still safe and delicious. Let them rest at room temperature before serving, and we recommend tracking your package and bringing it inside soon after delivery.
Cold weather. Cold temperatures will not hurt the cookies. If they arrive cool, let them come to room temperature or warm them briefly in the oven before serving. Winter weather and holiday volume can occasionally cause carrier delays, so we recommend ordering a day or two ahead of your desired arrival date during peak season.
We ship via UPS, which delivers to business addresses on weekdays between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm and to residential addresses six days a week between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm. The driver may require a signature at their discretion.
When shipping to an office, hospital, hotel, or other business address, please include the recipient’s name along with any suite, floor, or department information. We recommend confirming the building’s receiving instructions before placing your order. Packages delivered to mailrooms are typically routed internally from there, and timing can vary by location.
UPS adds a residential surcharge for addresses it classifies as residential. This is reflected in your shipping total at checkout.
You can choose pickup at checkout to collect your order from our bakery in Northbrook, Illinois. Pickups are available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm Central Time. Call (847) 831-4500 with questions or for directions.
UPS charges a $30 address correction fee for changes made after a package ships. We pass this fee through when it applies, so a quick check at checkout saves time and money.
We’re unable to cover the cost of packages that are refused by the recipient or returned because of an incorrect or incomplete address. Please confirm the recipient’s details before placing your order.
Weather, carrier volume, incorrect addresses, and closed businesses can all cause delays from time to time. We ship on schedule from our end, and we’ll do everything we can to help when something goes sideways in transit. If you have a question about a package in transit, call us at (847) 831-4500.
If your package arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours at info@carolscookies.com or (847) 831-4500. Please keep the packaging and take a photo of the damage if you can. We’ll make it right.
